One of the most important things parents can do to ensure their children’s myopia doesn’t get worse is to go outside and play catch with them. By participating in their outdoor activities, they are more likely to do it.
Simply playing catch for 30 minutes helps train the child’s eye to help slow down myopia progression because they look far when they throw the ball and look near when they catch it.
By looking for and then near trains the eye. While it’s not going to solve the myopia problem completely, it helps. And every little bit helps. The added benefit is that as a parent, you get to spend quality time with your child while helping them to have quality and safe vision in the future.
